Will Goodhand launches new website

Thank you for your support at the last election. Because of you, David Cameron is the first Conservative Prime Minister in 13 years and the Government’s plans to build a strong economy and a big society are in full swing. Now, to help us communicate with you, we've launched this new local website.

South Middlesbrough Infrastructure Action Group (SMIAG)

We need to solve the problem of traffic across the south of Middlesbrough. There has been some work done by government in the widening of the Parkway/A19 junction which is due to be completed soon helping to solve the rush hour queues at the roundabout.Unfortunately Ed Miliband's current MP has achieved nothing over the past 5 years, but I am determined to achieve with this. So I am setting up the South Middlesbrough Infrastructure Action Group which will have its first meeting at the Marton Country Club Hotel on March 19th at 7pm.

New techniques to crack down on crime

I am determined to ensure that our area receives the very best policing possible. Cleveland Police do an excellent job in sometimes very difficult circumstances. So I have been in touch with other Police Services in the north to learn new techniques and share them with Cleveland Police. The Inspector responsible for rural crime is studying these recommendations.

Creating more local job opportunities

Creating more local job opportunities for our young people is an importrant part of my plan for our area.I have already organised three apprenticeship events at Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough, which have brought some of our great local businesses together with our schools and training providers.I will continue to work with all these groups to ensure that we continue to drive cooperation between them ensuring more high-quality local opportunities for our young people on Teesside and in East Cleveland.

Bringing the best quality Healthcare to the heart of our communities

I have met with the South Tees Clinical Commissioning Group which is made up of local doctors who are now in control of delivering the highest possible care in our area. The NHS is to important to be used as a political football which is why I believe it is right for the doctors to be in charge.

Nunthorpe United

Residents from Nunthorpe were asked to complete a survey by Conservative Parliamentary candidate Will Goodhand on their views of the reunification of Nunthorpe. The response has been overwhelming in support of Will’s campaign to unite the village.

The Loftus Future Group

Residents across Loftus have been telling Will of their dissapointment with Redcar & Cleveland Council and feel that the town is mot living up to its full potential. So Will Goodhand is setting up the Loftus Future Group and is inviting all residents and businesses from across Loftus to come together and build a future vision for Loftus. Once we have built a vision we can work towards it. For more information, get in touch and Will's team will keep you updated of dates and venues for the meetings, so that together we can builld a better future for Loftus.

The Guisborough Future Group

Will Goodhand, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, is launching the Guisborough Future Group this week with the aim of creating a plan of action for the town led by residents. “During the past two years, residents have been telling me that they don’t feel Guisborough is achieving its full potential," Mr Goodhand said."Residents feel let down by the Council and I have been working on specific projects to bring back pride in Guisborough.
