WIll invited Kris Hopkins (Housing MInister) to Marton and Guisborough to listen to residents' concerns about building on Green field sites. They also visited a brown field site in Guisborough which is benefitting from the Government's helpt to buy scheme, allowing local people to get on the housing ladder.
Will and some of the local team were out around Guisborough talking to rsidents about their concerns. A good response and some interesting issues raised. Saturday proved more useful than Sunday when the entire team was caught in a mini blizzard!
Cleveland Potash welcomed Cabinet Minister Theresa Villiers and I on Friday. The visit to Boulby came about following the company’s unveiling of a wonderful forthcoming development, which will generate 270 new jobs in our area by 2015. Howard Clark (Sales and Marketing Director) and James Greaves (Head of HR) were our guides around this tremendous Teesside business.
Will continues to support the Earthbeat Theatre Group and their efforts to secure the former Guisborough Register Office as their new home and today he brought Culture Minister, Ed Vaisey to meet the Group
Gratifying as it is to see Labour party branches belatedly conclude the same as so many of East Cleveland’s residents about Redcar & Cleveland Council’s performance, there are fundamental issues at stake.
